1. Data controller
The data controller is Aurora Yachting P.C. (Ι.Κ.Ε.), 1 Samara St., 49100 Corfu, Greece, VAT No. EL802315996, G.E.MI. No. 174193333000. For any matter concerning your personal data, contact info@aurora-yachting.com.
2. Data we collect
- Enquiries: what you send us by email or tell us by phone (name, contact details, dates, message). This website has no forms.
- Charters: the data Greek law requires for the charter party and the crew and passenger list (full name, ID card or passport number, nationality, date of birth, skipper's licence details).
- Technical data: our hosting provider temporarily logs technical data (e.g. IP address) to operate and secure the website.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Replying to enquiries and quotes: pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Performing the charter: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Registering the electronic charter party and passenger list (Greek Law 4926/2022), tax and accounting duties: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Website security: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Recipients
We never sell your data or share it for advertising. Recipients may include:
- competent authorities — the Greek Ministry of Shipping via the e-charter party platform, and port and tax authorities — where required by law;
- our accountant and insurer, as far as necessary;
- technical service providers: Cloudflare (website hosting and email routing) and Google (email service). These providers may process data outside the EU under GDPR safeguards (EU–US Data Privacy Framework / Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Retention
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact unless a charter follows. Charter data is kept for as long as Greek maritime and tax law requires.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data and to object to its processing. To exercise them, contact info@aurora-yachting.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
7. Cookies
This website uses no cookies, analytics, embedded maps or other tracking tools. The “Map” link opens Google Maps in a new page, where Google's privacy policy applies.
